To The New Year!

Happy New Year beautiful beings!

Each month I shall filter in the workshop to our weekly practice, so we can affirm our intentions for the month.

Through our yoga practise we begin to connect with our natural surroundings and changing rhythms of light and darkness, new years, new moons and their effects on our emotions and energy levels. In the winter months we should steer clear of too much artificial light and sound and accept and embrace the natural sleepiness of our beings, bringing your biorhythms back into to balance.

You don't see dogs or cats down and depressed as its winter, they accept and just be, sleeping more. Listening to our hearts for the pure truth of who we are and need to be. Slowly we begin to let go of filling our eyes and minds with TV and internet, and find solace in the stillness, from this, like a Phoenix flying from the flames, so our souls can freely fly and our hearts sing.

You then start to let go of behaviours that no longer serve you, and your practise allows a compassionate approach to make the changes your heart speaks of. Actively setting indentions for the behaviours you wish to change. And if you slip in and out, don't judge or be disappointed, laugh and smile your only human. Take a breath and set a new beginning, A new year, a new moon, a new week, a new day each new breath really is a new beginning.

  • Breathe in your future

  • Retain the now

  • Breath out your past

I would like to thank you Angela Brier-Stephenson for a beautiful photo.

The Liver is the most vital organ connected with the break up and dealing with the break down of fats.

You must now buy a juicer or a bullet, to get those greens in. If you are on your Acia berry, you do not need to worry about juicing too much fruit.

It's all about the greens...

2 Large handful's of Kale

2 Large handfuls' of Spinach

1 Cucumber

1 Carrot

1/2  Lime

An inch of fresh Ginger

3 Apple's

1 Pear

If working from a juicer (which I am) then blend the liquid with ice, a banana and a pro biotic yoghurt drink into the blender. This makes a large jug that lasts me and Lulou two days. This generally my breakfast and mid day snack and all my daughters friends love it. The lime and the ginger give it a kick while the banana and pro biotic drink gives a smoothness.

You do not even realise you are drinking greens apart from the vibrant green colour of your drink!
